Zoe Wassell – Runner
I’ve been involved in athletics from the age of 12, competing for Stroud and District athletic club, of which I am still a member. After several years of competing at county/national level and consistently running well I wanted to take it a step further.
In August 2016, my coach and I sat down to talk about my future goals of achieving a GB vest. Increasing my training and changing my attitude towards being an athlete meant that I achieved two England vest by the end of 2016, which I couldn’t have done without the support from my coaches and the people around me.
Zoe’s training & physio
I came to 5 Valleys physio at the beginning of 2017 when I started to experience some knee and hip pain. I’m now working with Geoff and the pain has significantly improved and I’m managing the issue and hoping to be fit and ready for the world trials in March.
Running is a very high impact sport and I will hugely benefit from regular sports massages to help muscle soreness so my body can continue to cope with training and help me to prepare for races.
