Stroud and District Athletic Club
Stroud & District Athletic Club is a local, friendly and professional club based at Archway School sports hall. They meet on a Tuesday and Thursday at 18:00. The club boasts a membership of approximately 350 members. Their members cover an age range from 8 to 80+, and all athletic disciplines and abilities.
Stroud & District Athletic Club has running groups covering all abilities. These abilities include walking, jogging, beginners, fast and distance running groups. The Club will attempt to match your capability to the most appropriate group based on ability.

The club caters for both junior (8 – 17 years old) and senior athletes (18 – 100 year old) in most disciplines and covering most standards. Senior running groups are almost always based from Archway during both the Summer and Winter seasons.
During the Winter period, alternative arrangements are made for junior and some senior training.

- Gwen reigned in Spain – Gwen Kinsey reigned in Spain at the European Duathlon Championships.
- Stroud ladies finish 4th in Midlands Road Relays – Well done to the Stroud Athletic club ladies team. Stroud ladies finish 4th in a competitive field of 60 teams at the Midland Road Relays
- Gwen battled appalling conditions for success – The weather was horrendous at the Oulton Park Duathlon. Gwen battled the appalling conditions of sleet, wind, rain, cold and hyperthermia!!!
- Vicky qualifies for England schools – Vicky qualifies for England schools cross country in Norwich on the 18th March.
